I’m a vocalist and wondering if there is risk that a nose job will change the tone of my voice.

Question:

I am 20 years old and I would like to get a nose job to fix my profile. I am a vocalist and my main priority is maintaining my voice. I am not willing to sacrifice my tone for a smaller nose. Can a nose job change the sound of my voice?

Answer:

When rhinoplasty surgery is performed by a highly skilled surgeon, it should not affect the sound of your voice. Depending on your specific goals for your nose, changing your profile may not require structural changes inside the nose. Again, it depends on your nose and what you would like performed. It is important to find a rhinoplasty specialist to perform your surgery. I have successfully performed rhinoplasty surgery on female vocalists before and the surgeries have yielded excellent results.
