How do I know if I am a candidate for rhinoplasty?

A good candidate for rhinoplasty is an individual who has realistic expectations for the outcome of the surgery, and feels they can enhance their quality of life by making improvements to their nose that are within reason. During a consultation, I am able to determine if an individual is a good candidate for rhinoplasty by getting a general idea of why they want to have the surgery, ruling out the possibility of the patient suffering from body dysmorphic disorder, and thoroughly examining their nose to see if it is possible to make the improvements they desire.
