Erika: Osteotomies

Erika: Osteotomies

We finished the primary aspects of the nasal tip even though I still have to finesse it at the end with adding some softening cartilage to make the tip very soft.

Now we are going to narrow the nasal dorsum by fracturing the bones (a little suction here). These little instruments are called osteotomes. We are going to use these instruments to fracture the nasal bone, that will narrow the nose when looking at it from the front.

We are fracturing the nasal bones and bring them in. Even though the nasal dorsum is not higher because of that but from the profile look they appear higher and also from the front the nose will appear more narrow.

This is called the osteotomies of the rhinoplasty.
