Female patient complaining of nasal obstruction and unhappy with her nasal hump.
Procedure: Open Rhinoplasty with septoplasty.
Comment: The 11 month post-operative photos demonstrate correction of the deviated septum on basal view. This patient also had vertically oriented alar cartilages. If tip reduction was performed without considering the location of her tip cartilage, her nasal obstruction would become worse post-operatively secondary to external valve collapse (nostril pinching). In this patients case, the alar cartilages were repositioned and strut grafts were placed.
