A - Though patients may experience some discomfort after revision rhinoplasty,
pain medication can be prescribed. Further, much of the discomfort is associated with
nasal packing, the practice of packing the nose with gauze or cotton to control or
prevent bleeding. Nasal packing is typically removed within a day or two after surgery and
isn't always required.
