Revision Rhinoplasty FAQs
Q - What is the difference between open and closed rhinoplasty?
A - Closed rhinoplasty refers to procedures in which the incisions are confined to the inside of the nose, while open rhinoplasty involves an additional small incision made between the nostrils on the underside of the nose that results in a well-concealed, fine-line scar. Open rhinoplasty allows for increased visibility of and access to the inside of the nose and may be preferable in more complex cases. It's typically preferred when the tip requires work and can achieve the best symmetry. Hump reduction, on the other hand, can be performed with closed rhinoplasty.
