FAQ
Revision Rhinoplasty FAQs
Q - Is it okay to have the same doctor who performed an original rhinoplasty perform the revision?
A - This will depend on the particular circumstances. First, problems can occur even with the most experienced of surgeons. If you know that your original surgeon was competent and qualified because you took care in selecting him, than it may be okay to have him perform your revision. If, however, you believe that the original surgeon may not have been experienced enough and that this may have led to your dissatisfaction, you should not have him perform the revision. Revision rhinoplasty procedures are more complicated than primary rhinoplasty procedures. Because of this, it's also very important that you find a surgeon who has specific expertise and training in revision rhinoplasty.
