Can I use my own tissue to reshape my pointy nose, will there be scarring?
I have a pointy nose that I would like to be fixed. I have not found pictures on the internet specifically related to this problem. How could a pointy tip be fixed without scarring? Where does the extra tissue come from to add to the end of my nose? I live out of town. Can I email pictures of my nose to you?
Answer:
A pointy nasal tip can be altered using your own natural tissue. Cartilage may be taken from your ear to add more structure to the nose. When performed by a skilled cosmetic surgeon with experience performing tip work, any scarring will be very discreet. The only scar will be at the base of the nose where the columellar incision takes place, and will be difficult to see. Every patient is different, and an evaluation of your nose will help me give a more detailed explanation of how this procedure works.
Thank you and I hope this helps answer your question.
