I had rhinoplasty several months ago, and now it is up turned so much you can see inside my nostrils, is it repairable?

Question:
I need to have my nose fixed. I had rhinoplasty several months ago. What a disaster! Now I have a "pig" nose.  It is up turned so much you can see inside my nostrils. I cannot believe this happened. I am so depressed about it. Please, please tell me that this is repairable. Is recovery from revision rhinoplasty about the same as the original surgery?

Answer:
This is definitely something that may be repaired. When performed properly by a highly skilled revision rhinoplasty surgeon, revision rhinoplasty may yield excellent results.  The recovery from revision rhinoplasty will not be much different than the recovery from the primary rhinoplasty. However, the swelling may last longer following the revision rhinoplasty. The final result may not be evident for 18 to 24 months following your surgery. I hope this helps answer your question. Thank you and best of luck to you.
